Inside Sales Representative – DACH (Germany – Austria – Switzerland)

Tacton is looking for entry level, Inside Sales Rep focused on the DACH market. You will be based in our office in Karlsruhe working with our DACH sales team and also with Sales operation in Sweden. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to break into the sales craft for the first time. Inside Sales is a developmental role with the career trajectory of joining a field sales team after 12-24 months of proven performance

As Inside Sales Rep you will be responsible for the initial client engagement and early sales cycles of an opportunity which includes client prospecting, lead development and opportunity qualification/identification.

The ideal inside Sales Representative is a hungry, perseverant and focused person who is not afraid to hit the phone to engage with new customers and grow our sales. We are looking for a person with a positive attitude, who is a self-motivator and a self-starter. We believe that you have a good understanding of customer needs and requirements, both from a business perspective as well as a from a system architecture perspective.

You will be reporting to The Director of Sales Strategy and Operation, based in Stockholm but you will work close with our DACH sales team on daily basis.

 Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up (primarily) and outbound cold calls and e-mails.
  • Work with identified target accounts to map; and reach out to; relevant contacts.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements and position Tacton’s high-level offering to those.
  • Qualify all leads together with Sales operations and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Work closely with the Lead Generation Manager to find areas of improvement related to the lead generation, lead management and lead-to-opportunities processes.
  • Use Salesforce CRM as the main tool to log activities, events and customer data.
  • On need basis, Support Sales Executives in proposal creation, price calculation, and other duties needed from time to other.

Requirements: 

  • Entry level opportunity, 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
  • The desire to eventually move to a field sales role, conducting face to face meetings/presentations
  • Ability to identify with and recognize customer requirements, providing appropriate recommendations and solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills both in German and English.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Highly proficient in computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, experience from CRM is a plus
  • Sales experience of Software and/or Hardware is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a Sales position, preferably phone based is a plus.
  • Previous experience in pre-call planning, call structure & control is a plus.
