Position Summary
The Development Lead at Tacton is an operational leader who defines and drives the technical direction and priorities of their team. While you won’t have direct reports, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring your team’s success. This role suits a seasoned developer eager to grow into a potential manager role in the future. Key Responsibilities 

• Act as a "playing coach" by actively contributing to development tasks while providing operational leadership and guidance to the team. 
• Define and prioritize team tasks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical strategies.  
• Architect and implement high-quality features, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.   
• Mentor developers and act as a technical advisor, fostering professional growth and excellence.  
•  Clearly describe and document software solutions, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.   
• Foster teamwork and celebrate milestones.
• Drive and contribute to continuous improvement in both code and ways of work. 

Skills and Qualifications

  Required:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in building and maintaining software systems.
• Proven ability to translate functional specifications into creative, user-focused software solutions.
• Strong backend development skills, with experience in building robust and efficient solutions.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, with a willingness to adapt and contribute across the stack.
• Experience in software design and architecture, delivering high-quality features.
• Self-driven and proactive, able to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills; Swedish is a plus.
• We believe in real-time collaboration and prefer you to be on-site most weekdays at our Stockholm office to foster knowledge sharing and innovation.

Preferred:   

• Experience in SaaS product development and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS).
• Interest in growing into a people management role with direct reports.
• Experience with Java, developing robust and efficient backend solutions.
• Familiarity with test automation and best practices.
