Sr. Enterprise Account Executive
Tacton is looking for a Senior Account Executive who loves the hunt. This is a net-new logo role: you will own a focused territory of named enterprise manufacturers in North America, open doors at companies that have never worked with Tacton, and close enterprise deals that change how they sell, engineer, and deliver their products.
You will run long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (typically 6–12 months or more) from first outreach to signature, engaging executives across sales, engineering, operations, and IT. Our Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Marketing teams will be in your corner, but the pipeline, the deal strategy, and the close are yours.
What you will do
Hunt for New Logos: Build and own pipeline across a focused set of named target accounts, partnering closely with your Business Development Manager to prioritize, qualify, and promote the right opportunities.
Open Executive Doors: Reach the C-suite and build trusted relationships with economic buyers, champions, and influencers across business and IT.
Lead Discovery and Value Mapping: Uncover business pain, quantify the impact, and build a compelling business case using the Tacton Sales Process.
Run Complex Deal Cycles: Orchestrate multi-threaded opportunities over 6–12+ months, keeping momentum and alignment across every stakeholder.
Quarterback the Team: Bring in Sales Engineering, Professional Services, and leadership at the right moments while owning the overall deal strategy.
Stay Close to Your Market: Drive a high, steady cadence of meaningful customer engagements (meetings, site visits, demos, and events) every quarter.
Negotiate and Close: Lead commercial and legal negotiations through to signature.
Exceed Your Number: Consistently meet and exceed your new-business quota.
Requirements
7+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with a proven track record of winning new logos across multiple multi-year tenures
Consistent quota attainment closing six- and seven-figure deals with sales cycles of 6–12+ months
Experience selling mission-critical, transformational enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, PLM, CRM, supply chain, or industrial software). Manufacturing or engineering-driven industry experience is a strong plus; CPQ experience is a plus, not a requirement
Experience selling to executive buying committees spanning multiple departments
Experience in fast-growth, private equity-backed environments preferred
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Who you are
Hunter at Heart
You thrive on opening new doors. Prospecting is not a chore for you; it is how you win.
Resilient
You hear “no” often and keep going with confidence. Rejection sharpens you.
A Proven Closer
You know how to create urgency, navigate procurement, and get deals signed, not just advanced.
Value Storyteller
You sell business outcomes, not features, and can explain to a CFO and a VP of Engineering why Tacton matters to each of them.
In It for the Long Game
You build relationships and pipeline that pay off over time, and you have done it more than once: grinding through year one and succeeding in year two and beyond.
Boots on the Ground
You win trust in person: site visits, workshops, plant tours, lunch in the customer's canteen. You know email alone does not close enterprise deals.
Coachable Team Player
You take direction, share what is working, and win alongside your team.
100% Transparency
You believe in complete honesty and openness in all interactions.
