We are now seeking a Strategic Industry Advisor with deep industrial and digital transformation expertise to help us, and our customers, turn structural product complexity into a sustainable operational asset.
The Role: Strategic Industry Advisor to Manufacturing
As a Strategic Industry Advisor, you will operate at a strategic level, guiding Tacton’s leadership and key customers on how to reduce structural cost and unlock value in highly configurable manufacturing environments.
You will act as:
A strategic sounding board to manufacturing executive leadership
A transformation catalyst for customers navigating operational and commercial complexity
A thought leader shaping how configurable manufacturing evolves in the digital era
Your expertise will help position product configuration not as an operational burden but as a competitive lever.
Strategic Focus Areas
Structural Cost & Complexity Management
Advise on how configurable product architectures impact cost structures across engineering, sales, production, and service
Guide strategies for management of modularization and digital product models
Elevate configuration from tactical sales support to a structural financial lever and enterprise-wide operational discipline
2. Operational Asset Enablement
Help define how Sales, Engineering, Order Fulfilment and Services and digital thread strategies enable measurable performance gains
Support executive-level discussions around time-to-quote, engineering accuracy, fulfilment precision, and lifecycle profitability
Connect digital investments to structural margin improvement
3. Business Process & Digital Transformation
Provide guidance on future-state operating models for capital equipment and industrial manufacturers
Advise on end-to-end transformation, from commercial configuration to downstream execution
Contribute insights on governance, adoption, and change management at enterprise scale
4. Thought Leadership & Market Positioning
Contribute to industry narratives around configurable capital equipment manufacturing to promote the concept of a Buyer-Centric Smart Factory. Digitalization that drive customer value, technology leadership and industrial excellence together with outstanding customer engagement.
Support strategic customer engagements and selected executive sales cycles
Help codify best practices and transformation frameworks
Your Background:
We are looking for a senior leader with substantial experience in:
15+ years of relevant experience
Capital equipment or highly configurable manufacturing environments
Industrial digital transformation initiatives
IT and enterprise systems landscapes in manufacturing companies
Business process reengineering across Sales, Engineering, Production, and Aftermarket
You bring:
Deep understanding of configurable product lifecycles
Executive-level perspective on structural cost drivers
Strong analytical and strategic facilitation skills
The ability to translate operational complexity into digital strategy
Credibility with C-level stakeholders in global industrial organizations

Tacton - CPQ Transforming the Buyer Experience
We understand compensation is a principal factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Tacton we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $200-250,000 annually + bonus/variables. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
