Tacton is looking recent college graduate to join the Growth team as a Business Development Representative focused on the European market, conducting business in English and German. This is a fantastic developmental role for anyone looking to break into the sales-craft for the first time.

As our Business Development Representative you’re responsible for generating new demand and ensuring data quality throughout the lead generation process which includes lead prospecting, development and qualification to generate MQLs and SQLs. The role is high-activity and impact-driven with metrics like number of appointments set and the ultimate conversion to opportunities. Take your place in the driver seat to ensure high data quality and quick funnel progressions in Tacton’s lead generation process.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a positive, can-do attitude. You are unfazed by rejection and thrive on building rapport with people. We believe that you have the interest and aptitude to understand Tacton’s customers’ needs and requirements, and will be able to lead interactions to build and sustain interest from prospective clients.

You will be reporting to VP of Demand Generation, based in Chicago but will work closely with our EU sales team and Field Marketing colleagues on a daily basis. This position can be based in Stockholm, Sweden or Karlsruhe, Germany.

 Responsibilities:

  • Qualify all inbound demand through lead follow-up and route sales qualified leads to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Conduct outbound cold calls and e-mails to position Tacton’s offerings at a high-level to source new sales opportunities
  • Accurately enter all client information into company systems including Salesforce.com and Pardot.
  • Support strategic sales regions by effectively executing the regional lead generation strategy working with Field Marketing to execute campaigns
  • Utilize provided information tools and other websites to compile comprehensive information on identified target accounts, understand the customers’ needs and requirements. Secure the data quality for each campaign’s target accounts and leads
  • Use Salesforce CRM, Pardot as the source of truth to log activities, events and customer data. Log, track and maintain lead and contact records
  • Work closely with the VP Demand Generation to find areas of improvement related to the lead generation, lead management and lead-to-opportunities processes

Requirements: 

  • Entry level opportunity, 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
  • Native/professional command of English and German
  • BA/BS required or equivalent educational background.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
  • Attention to detail in organizing account information, tracking activities and follow-up in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Experience in pre-call planning, call structure & control a plus
  • Internal account management and outbound call experience a plus
  • Sales experience of SaaS offerings is a plus
  • Previous experience of CRM. Knowledge, usage of Salesforce.com a plus
