Position Summary
We’re Tacton – a Swedish product company building powerful B2B solutions for manufacturers. Right now, we’re looking for someone to step in as a Lead Software Developer and who thrives at the intersection of delivery, team collaboration, and hands-on tech.

This role sits at the core of our product development. You’ll take the lead on a number of parallel initiatives that are critical to our platform. While you won’t be coding full-time, writing code will still be a big part of your day-to-day. You’ll work closely with others to shape and drive technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities   

• Lead a team of developers and collaborate with product managers and designers.
• Write and review code regularly – contributing directly to development while supporting others.
• Drive the development process end-to-end - planning, execution, and iteration.
• Get involved in system architecture decisions and help shape long-term technical direction.
• Clear blockers, keep the team aligned, and make sure deliveries land.
• Be a technical sounding board, helping others grow.
• Join in on hiring and onboarding, and help build a strong, inclusive team culture. 

Skills and Qualifications

  Required:

• +7 years' experience in software development
• Has led a team or taken responsibility for delivery and coordination.
• Enjoys collaborating across disciplines — product, UX, and business.
• Can navigate trade-offs, ask good questions, and help others do the same.
• Communicates clearly and constructively, both in code and conversations.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills; Swedish is a plus.
• We believe in real-time collaboration and work on-site 3 days a week at our Stockholm office to foster knowledge sharing and innovation.

Preferred:   

• Experience in SaaS product development and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS).
• Interest in growing into a people management role with direct reports.
• Experience with Java, developing robust and efficient backend solutions.
• Familiarity with test automation and best practices.
