About the role
Tacton is looking for a Front-end Architect to guide the technical direction of our B2B, CPQ SaaS platform. In this position, you will take on significant responsibility in setting priorities, defining best practices and technology choices ensuring continuous successful software product deliveries. We are a leader in Gartners Magic Quadrant for CPQ and our product is unique, demanding a high level of collaboration across the product teams and cross component alignment. You’ll work closely with our exceptionally skilled architect team and the agile development teams, today consisting of 30 senior developers. You will refine and shape the future of our state-of-the-art scalable SaaS solution with focus on front-end technologies.  As our R&D department evolves, we're looking for someone who brings a forward-thinking mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Direction & Prioritization – Shape the overall front-end architectural vision while ensuring scalability and maintainability. Translate business goals into practical solutions that drive long-term success.

• Architect & Implement – Design and implement robust, cloud-native solutions for our front-end initiatives and projects together with the development teams. Leverage your comprehensive front-end and/or full-stack development expertise to ensure the right long term front-end architecture is maintained in our SaaS product and projects are delivered successful.

• Operational Coordination – Work closely with the Product Management team to align development efforts with business objectives. Document architectural decisions to provide clarity and consistency across teams.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work hand-in-hand with product design and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in a clear and constructive way.

• Continuous Improvement – Stay ahead of SaaS, cloud (AWS), and relevant frontend technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance platform performance, user experience, code quality, maintainability, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

Who are you:

• 10 + years of experience in front-end or full stack SaaS software development, ideally within a SaaS software product company.

• Strong architectural mindset, identifying synergies across product areas driving our end to end front-end architecture in the desired strategical direction incrementally.

• A willingness to engage in full stack architectural discussions and projects when needed.

• An open-minded team player who values discussion over rigid solutions - you listen, adapt, and collaborate well with your colleagues.

• Proven track record in architecting and developing SaaS solutions (CPQ experience is a plus).

• Expertise in cloud environments (AWS).

• Front-end development expertise. Currently we are mainly using JavaScript, TypeScript, Preact, and in-house front-end frameworks, but part of the role is to continuously oversee that we are using the right tools for the job.

• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.

• We believe in real-time collaboration and prefer you to be on-site three days a week, at our Stockholm office, to foster direct knowledge sharing and innovation.
