Software Architect - Backend
Position Summary
We’re looking for a Software Architect to guide the technical direction of our B2B SaaS platform. You will take on significant responsibility in setting priorities, defining best practices, and ensuring successful software delivery. Our product is unique, demanding a high level of collaboration and advanced problem-solving. You’ll work closely with our exceptionally skilled architect and a senior team of developers to refine and shape robust, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Direction & Prioritization – Shape the overall architectural vision while ensuring scalability and maintainability. Translate business goals into practical solutions that drive long-term success.
- Architect & Implement – Design and refine robust, cloud-native solutions (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes). Leverage front-end or full-stack insights to ensure seamless user experiences when necessary.
- Operational Coordination – Work closely with the Product team to align development efforts with business objectives. Document architectural decisions to provide clarity and consistency across teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with DevOps and other technical teams to maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Communicate complex technical challenges and solutions in a clear, constructive manner.
- Continuous Improvement – Stay ahead of SaaS, cloud, and CPQ trends, identifying opportunities to enhance platform performance, security, and scalability.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software development, ideally within complex systems.
- Strong architectural mindset, identifying synergies across products (CPQ, VIZ, CAD) and future solutions.
- Proven track record in architecting and delivering SaaS solutions (CPQ experience is a plus).
- Expertise in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and scalable database design (SQL/NoSQL).
- Backend development expertise (Java or similar) with a willingness to engage in front-end when needed.
- Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.
